Key Partner: North Carolina Nursery & Landscape Association works to improve the state’s green industry and educate through their Green & Growin’ event
The goal of the North Carolina Nursery & Landscape Association (NCNLA) is to improve the welfare of North Carolina’s green industry—focusing on the nursery and landscape industries—and provide education to members. The organization began after a merger between the North Carolina Association of Nurserymen and the North Carolina Landscape & Grounds Maintenance Association on October 1, 2006.
NCNLA’s purpose is to be a flexible, knowledgeable, responsive, and environmentally conscious organization that provides the nursery and landscape industries with leadership, technological and business advancement opportunities, and information services. Their objective is to provide members the opportunity for economic, professional, and personal growth.
Green & Growin’ 2020
One way that’s done is through the Green & Growin’ industry show. Thousands of industry professionals are expected in Greensboro, North Carolina, the last week of January for three days of education and a two-day marketplace trade show.
The event provides an opportunity for those in the green industry to see the latest trends and products. Attendees also have the chance to learn new skills and update their credentials during Green & Growin’ education. More than 100 hours of top-quality training, specialty seminars, and workshops make up the 2020 schedule. Sessions include information for growers, landscapers, and retailers. Some other sessions offer continuing education credits toward a variety of industry licenses and certifications.
