With winter right around the corner, we thought it was an opportune time to highlight one of our associations best linked to Old Man Winter. The Snow & Ice Management Association (SIMA) is a North American non-profit trade association for snow & ice industry professionals. Founded in 1996, SIMA provides resources, leadership, and support for the snow & ice management industry through education, training, networking, certification, advocacy, and more. There are more than 1,600 SIMA members in North America, across the United States and Canada. SIMA is proud to support thousands of small businesses, entrepreneurs, and hardworking people in the industry and takes pride in being the go-to resource for both its members and any local or national entity in the business.
The snow and ice management industry is dynamic, engaging, and is essential to the world we live in. That’s why SIMA focuses its training on subjects such as snow plowing, ice management, and business management.
SIMA is very well known for Snow Business, their official publication and their annual Snow & Ice Symposium. This trade show is the only event at which attendees can explore the equipment, materials, and services their businesses need, but also the latest in thinking and experience-sharing with peers and experts.
Thinking about joining? SIMA has different levels of membership and each one comes with a variety of benefits and saving opportunities! Join the Snow & Ice Management Association and help educate each other on the best principles of business management, snow and ice operations, leadership, and more!
